Overview

As Learning Experience Designer, I redesigned Blue Knot Foundation’s two websites and created branding materials to support its role as Australia’s National Centre of Excellence for Complex Trauma. The audience included survivors, professionals, and staff, with constraints around trauma-informed design, accessibility (WCAG 2.1), and consistent branding.

Process

  • Rebuilt over 300 web pages across the community and professional sites.
  • Applied trauma-informed design principles while ensuring brand consistency.
  • Prototyped page layouts in WordPress and optimised for mobile and accessibility.
  • Designed and tested EDMs, videos, and internal resources with staff.

Outcome

The redesigned sites improved usability and accessibility for national audiences, strengthened brand consistency, and enhanced access to trauma resources. Professional communications such as the quarterly Blue Knot Review reached wider audiences, while internal staff gained standardised, branded documentation.
